PiKart.in, is a B2B online marketplace designed and developed for companies/enterprises in the Indian Generic Pharma Industry space. It enables online, real-time buying & selling of Pharmaceutical Ingredients. The present version handles Pharma Raw Materials/APIs/Bulk Drugs. The Manufacturers of APIs, FDF( Finished Dosage Forms) Manufacturers and API Distributors can use the PiKart.in platform to conduct business Digitally and in real-time.

No. PiKart does not own, stock, buy, sell or re-sell any Products. All Products ordered by Buyers are supplied/shipped directly from the Sellers factories. Order fulfillment by PiKart covers pickup from Sellers’ mfg sites & delivery of the Products to Buyers’ sites as applicable, along with Product Invoices from Sellers, and other requisite documents.

The current version of PiKart.in is developed and implemented to handle Active Pharma Ingredients( APIs) approved by the DCGI for use in India. APIs covered under NDPS Rules( Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances) and other Controlled Substances are NOT permitted for sale in PiKart.

User registration on PiKart starts with an initial SignUp using PAN No of the entity as UserID, 2-step verification for Activation of account as Seller or Buyer as applicable. After activation o f account, the User can follow the Detailed Registration Process for Onboarding.

The appropriate KYC documents have to be uploaded wherever asked for.
After completion of all steps of registration & uploading of documents, the same are verified at PiKart end, and then the user is Approved as a Seller/Buyer as applicable.

Currently, the standard documents to be uploaded are a valid Drug Mfg License for each site, ( seller & Buyer), and Wholesale Drug License for Distributors.
GSTIN verification is done through a 3rd party integrated with our platform, while all other documents are verified at PiKart end.

Certificates of Analysis( COA) of each Pharmacopoeial grade being offered for every API being enlisted in the PiStore( Seller). Wherever multiple pharmacopoeial grades are being offered for any certain API, all COAs can be merged into a single PDF and uploaded.

Product prices on PiKart are based on the Current Net Prices( CNP) fixed by Sellers. A nominal commission to PiKart is appended ( ~2 - 3%) and Current Sale Prices( CSP) are computed and these are the effective Prices published for Buyers.

Sellers on PiKart can update their Current Net Prices(CNP) on a daily basis. A specific time-window is assigned every day, to enable Sellers to review and re-publish Prices, MOQ, Ex-Stock Quantity, Lead times. The new prices become effective after midnight ( starting 00.00 hrs).

This happens in 2 steps as follows:
a)Pre-Order: At first step, after Buyer chooses the product, quality grade, quantity, selects Seller and specifies Additional Reqmts( if any), a Pre-Order is generated and sent to the chosen Seller to confirm and accept/reject the Pre-Order( to be done within a specified time limit)
b) Confirmed Order: Basis the Acceptance of Pre-Order by the Seller, the Buyer can view other related details of the intended Order and Supply, as also confirm other relevant details as necessary, and then make the payment, to convert the Pre-Order into a Confirmed Order for processing.

PiKart supports multiple payment methods, viz., NB, NEFT, RTGS and UPI. subject to RBI guidelines on thresholds.
Credit cards, Debit Cards are NOT permitted for use in PiKart

Order fulfillment on PiKart is handled by PiKart through the sole authorized Logistics Partner, and Shippers contracted by the Logistics partner & approved by PiKart. The Shippers are integrated with the PiKart platform to ensure timely processing, accurate shipping, proper documentation and prompt delivery. The platform provides tools to track and manage orders efficiently.

Yes, Online Tracking of Shipments is facilitated.

Currently the Buyers are provided with a 10 days time-window from date of Delivery, to inspect and Test the Quality of the Products and QC Acceptance.

No. Every Order is dedicated to a single Product (API) and only 1 quality grade is chosen to generate and confirm the Order. However, Buyer can specify under Additional Reqmts, if they want the Product to comply with more than one(1) pharmacopoeial standards, and seek separate COA in accordance with each Standard.
The Acceptance of the same is at the discretion of the Seller at the Pre-Order stage, and subject to prices being the same for the determinant Grade and additional quality standard requested by Buyer. Therefore, Buyers are required to closely review the Grades vs Prices whenever they require the API to conform to multiple pharmacopoeia, while preparing their Pre-Orders, and choose the higher priced grade as the pivot grade for the Order, and seek COA as per lower priced grade under Additional Requirements

Yes. Buyer can certainly register a Quality Complaint in the prescribed from, along with requisite documents WITHIN the 10-day Testing/Approval Period.

No. At the moment, there are no such provisions. Hence Buyers are required to complete their Testing process within the stipulated time period.

Yes. PIKart has a Quality Services Support Team, who will address the Quality Complaints to ensure an amicable resolution. The Process is partly off-line and then gets back online soon after a specific solution is arrived. Sellers and Buyers are required to adhere strictly to PiKarts Dispute Handling Process to resolve Quality Complaints, and also for any acts of breach or misconduct by Sellers/Buyers respectively.

Yes. Whenever the Quality Testing results of Seller and Buyer show discrepancies, and internal Retesting is not acceptable to Seller/Buyer as the case may be, then an Independent testing by a GLP certified laboratory is implemented, and results are binding on both parties.The costs of such 3rd party testing, are bourne by the Party at fault.

Yes. At every point of Membership renewal, Sellers are free to Add Products and or De-activate Products. Products de-activated would not appear in Buyer searches and remain inactive until such time the Seller once again activates them( which can be done at any future points of renewal). However, during the tenure of a particular Membership plan, Sellers are not permitted to Add Products but can Deactivate Products, if there are any problems with production or any other reasons.

Yes. If a company has Manufacturing facilities for APIs, and also for manufacturing of formulations/finished dosage forms ( FDFs), and wishes to be a Seller AND Buyer to conduct Business in PiKart, It is permissible. They have to Sign Up as a Seller and Buyer independently/separately, and follow the same Registration/Onboarding process applicable for Sellers and Buyers independently.
The KYC norms and documentation as necessary must be complied with as usual.

After the 10 day Testing & Approval Period, the Settlement Process is initiated.
**if the Buyer has missed to confirm Acceptance of the Order and there is no Quality Complaint registered in the prescribed form either, the Order attains Deemed Acceptance status, and Settlement Process is initiated.

The Settlement Process involves 1) Payment to the Seller for the Product; 2) Payment to the Logistics Partner for Freight & Delivery(F&D); 3) Payment of PiKart commission & convenience charges to PiKart account.

The Invoices for Products originate from the Sellers, and are billed to Buyers.
The Invoices for Commission originate from PiKart and are billed to Sellers.
The Invoices for Freight & Delivery(F&D) originate from Logistics partner and are billed to Buyers.

Yes, TCS withholding is a GST mandatory compliance wherever applicable. It is the responsibility of Sellers/Beneficiaries to provide necessary declarations if the same is not deductible.

All sizes and types of Finished Dosage Forms (FDF) manufacturers (with own Mfg sites and/or Loan Lic Mfg sites) are eligible to be Buyers in PiKart. A valid Drug MFG License to produce formulations is a prerequisite for Formulation companies. In PiKart, we also welcome API Distributors with a valid Wholesale Drug License, to onboard as Buyers on PiKart, as we recognize their value addition by buying & stocking bigger quantities and supplying to the SME sector in the Formulations industry.

PiKart.in is a web-based platform of responsive design (works on all types of devices) that serves as a B2B marketplace for real?time sales and procurement of Active Pharma Ingredients (APIs). API orders and payments are placed and made online. PiKart is integrated with logistics partners & shippers for PAN?India pickup & delivery. Product prices are dynamic and can be changed daily by sellers. PiKart handles order fulfillment buyers get guaranteed deliveries and seller payments are settled only after delivery and quality approval by buyers in the predefined testing period.

PiKart welcomes API distributors as they buy larger quantities and resell to SMEs in the FDF sector. Along with the mandatory Wholesale Drug License, such buyers must also upload pictures of their warehouse (with dimensions) and evidence of compliant storage conditions.

Buying on PiKart.in is simple. First, SignUp as a Buyer with 2?step authentication and verification. Your UserID is your company PAN (serves as KYC). Once activated, complete registration, submit details/documents, get approved by the Qualification Team, and become a Qualified Buyer.

Complete three steps: 1) Company profile general details, procurement, delivery and quality contacts, payment setup. 2) Site profile for each site, provide name, formulation types and valid MFG License copy. 3) Membership selection choose between free Basic or paid Premium and complete checkout. After submission, PiKart verifies and approves details, and you can start buying.

PiKart will review and approve your Buyer account within 48 hours of submission.

Merge all site MFG Licenses into a single PDF and upload it in the Site Profile for that site.

No. Uploading pictures and videos is voluntary for branding and promotion. Your Buyer profile will display whatever branding elements you choose (logo, banner, pics, videos).

Yes. You dont need a website. Once youre a Qualified Buyer, you can start sourcing and procuring APIs.

Buyers must ensure purchased products comply with applicable pharmacopoeial standards in India, Drugs & Cosmetics Act, DCGI rules, and any additional end?use or market requirements. Sharing or seeking methods of analysis (for IH grade APIs) is a joint responsibility of Buyer and Seller.

Yes. Buyers may use APIs for domestic or export FDFs. Note: PiKart cannot currently handle "deemed exports" for GST. Transactions are recorded as domestic; any drawbacks/refunds are the buyers responsibility. Pharmacopoeial grade choices and additional requirement declarations support export use.

Yes. Seller details are visible in the seller PiStore (profile). Buyers see all sellers offering the API, their ratings, stock quantities, MOQ, lead times, and current sale prices.

Seller sees Buyer details when you post a Pre?Order; at that moment the information is shared for seller acceptance.

Sellers set the NET price (Current Net Price). PiKart adds a nominal commission (~2?3%), and the resulting price (Current Sale Price) is shown to buyers.

Yes. Sellers may review and update prices, MOQ, stock quantity, lead times, or deactivate products daily within a predefined time window.

New prices take effect after midnight (00:00 hrs) and are valid until the next update window.

Two membership types: 1) Basic Membership (Silver Club) free. 2) Premium Membership (Platinum Club) nominal annual fee.

Yes. Three tiers: Silver, Gold, Platinum. New qualified buyers start in Silver. Monthly purchase volume determines Gold/Platinum. Buyers who pay for Premium become Platinum immediately for the membership duration.

Primary benefit is reduced convenience charges: Silver 1.5%; Gold 0.75%; Platinum (Premium) NIL.

Use the API directory or search on the homepage. After login, use the Orders, Shipments, Payments (OSP) module to search�results show seller name, quality, stock, MOQ, lead time, etc.

Post an enquiry. When the product becomes available in any sellers PiStore, you will be notified.

An enquiry does not automatically add the product to the directory; it only triggers notifications when inventory becomes available.

Two-step process: a) Pre?Order you select product, grade, quantity, seller, additional requirements; seller must accept/reject within a time limit. b) Confirmed Order upon acceptance, finalize details, make payment, convert Pre?Order into confirmed order, and PO is sent to seller.

Yes. You can review all sellers in search results (profiles, ratings, CSP) and choose your preferred seller. You can save search results in Search History.

Yes. You can indicate your preferred site of supply in the Additional Requirements section.

Search by appending Micronised to the API name. Micronised versions are treated as separate products and will appear in auto?suggest and results.

Specify particle size (PSD) in the Additional Requirements section of the Pre?Order.

Currently based on GMP standards/accreditations of their sites. In future, delivery and quality performance will also be factored in.

You can review the rejection reasons, then revise order parameters or choose another seller and create a new Pre?Order.

The Pre?Order moves to your Kart for completion and payment to become a confirmed order.

Yes. Buyers can choose air or surface transport, subject to shipper limitations (e.g., quantity thresholds for air).

Total Order Value includes three components: product (CSP quantity) + GST, freight & delivery with GST, and convenience charges (CC) with GST.

Yes. The minimum order value is Rs?25,000.

Payments can be made via NetBanking, NEFT, RTGS, and UPI.

Payments are held in a temporary holding account (CA?NEG type) at Axis Bank.

Payment status and transaction reference details are updated against the order in the OSP module.

Marine insurance is mandatory prior to shipment. If you dont have a policy, PiKart helps you purchase transit insurance for that order.

Yes. PiKart directs buyers to an insurance portal to purchase transit insurance.

Under the OSP module you can view and manage orders, shipments, and payments. Seller updates and shipment alerts are also visible here.

Shipper requires two days advance intimation. Sellers must update the Actual Date of Shipment (ADS) at least two days before the shipment is ready. ADS cannot be after the Estimated Date of Shipment (EDS) without buyer permission.

Upon order readiness, an Order Delivery Confirmation (ODC) code is generated and sent to buyer procurement/site contact. Upon delivery, the recipient shares the code with the shipper, who enters it on PiKart to confirm delivery.

Yes. A tracking link is provided for all shipments.

After delivery, buyers have 10 days to test and confirm acceptance. Any quality discrepancies must be raised within this period, with pictures noted during delivery.

After the 10?day acceptance period with no complaints, settlement is initiated: product payment (with GST) to seller, freight & delivery (with GST) to logistics partner, and convenience charges (with GST) to PiKart.

Raise quality complaints via the OSP module with supporting documents. Track them in the Quality Complaints module.

Settlement is put on hold until the complaint is resolved.

PiKarts Quality Services team investigates with buyer & seller, using analytical reports and possibly 3rd party testing.

If no action within 10 days, the order attains Deemed Acceptance and settlement is initiated.

Resolution options: acceptance with discount (if borderline), replacement, or rejection.

A replacement order (new order) is generated against the seller, processed like a new order. The original payment is applied. Upon delivery, buyer returns the original consignment via shipper. No extra charges; seller covers F&D during settlement.

Shipper picks up the consignment for return to seller. 100% payment is refunded to buyers original account within 710 days of return.

The discount is credited to the buyers wallet and can be used for premium membership or future orders.

Even after 10 days, buyers may raise a quality complaint. If failure is confirmed post-investigation, options are replacement or discounted acceptance.

You will receive: 1) Seller invoice for API + GST, 2) Logistics partner invoice for F&D + GST, and 3) PiKart invoice for convenience charges (CC).

PiKart deducts TCS during settlement and informs the seller unless exempted. PiKart and seller must update TCS deduction in the GST portal.

All sizes and types of API manufacturers( with own Mfg sites Or Loan Lic Mfg sites) are eligible to be Sellers in our marketplace. A valid Drug MFG License with the enlisted APIs endorsed in the same, is a pre-requisite to be an eligible Seller on PiKart.
